Insurance Accounting Assistant Manager

Lead insurance accounting at BCAA through technical reporting, internal controls, and team development while partnering across Finance and Operations.

As Assistant Manager, Insurance Accounting, you will support full-cycle accounting and reliable financial information. You will lead five direct reports while coordinating close activities, reconciliations, regulatory filings, and audit support. The position suits a hands-on leader with strong judgment and continuous improvement skills.

• Lead five direct reports through priorities, reviews, deadlines, coaching, and feedback
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting activities
• Prepare and review statutory, regulatory, tax, and statistical filings
• Oversee journal entries, working papers, and ledger reconciliations
• Investigate control exceptions, data issues, and reconciling items

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce, Finance or Accounting
• Completed CPA designation and seven years’ accounting or auditing experience
• Strong technical accounting, reporting, analysis, and reconciliation skills
• Team leadership experience with coaching and deliverable reviews
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and integrated financial systems experience
