- Serve as the primary administrative contact for the unit by managing incoming communications, prioritizing requests, directing inquiries, and ensuring accurate and timely information flow to appropriate staff.
- Coordinate and maintain scheduling requirements for multi-disciplinary learners
- Manage confidential patient records by entering, updating, and verifying demographic and medical information while ensuring accuracy, privacy, and compliance with applicable policies and standards.
- Support the effective operation of the unit by coordinating administrative workflows, maintaining equipment readiness, and assisting team members in entering data into EMR or other databases
- Process and transcribe medical orders for medication, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, and treatment

The Opportunity:The Unit Intake Clerk performs administrative tasks that support the healthcare team to ensure the smooth operation of the withdrawal management unit.
- Serve as the primary administrative contact for the unit by managing incoming communications, prioritizing requests, directing inquiries, and ensuring accurate and timely information flow to appropriate staff.
- Coordinate and maintain scheduling requirements for multi-disciplinary learners
- Manage confidential patient records by entering, updating, and verifying demographic and medical information while ensuring accuracy, privacy, and compliance with applicable policies and standards.

The Role
- Graduation from a recognized Unit Clerk program plus one year's recent, related experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Preference for candidates with previous work experience in areas of mental health and substance use
- Addiction Care and Treatment Online Course (ACTOC) from British Columbia Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU), or willing to obtain.
