Job Title:

Site Administrator / Project Administrator Job Description

This role provides critical administrative and logistical support to a large-scale construction project and associated data center facilities. You act as the central communication hub between the field team, project management, and vendors while coordinating workforce travel, accommodations, material transportation, and day-to-day administrative support for project managers and site leadership. The position is well-suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, is highly organized, and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate workforce travel, accommodation bookings, and logistics for project personnel.
  • Arrange and track material transportation between office, construction site, and other project locations.
  • Provide daily administrative support to project managers and site leadership, including documentation, scheduling, and communication tasks.
  • Act as a communication hub between field teams, project management, and vendors to ensure information flows accurately and on time.
  • Pull and install armored fiber optic cabling throughout data center facilities in accordance with project specifications.
  • Perform fusion splicing of fiber optic cables to support high-performance network infrastructure.
  • Test, certify, and troubleshoot fiber optic infrastructure to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
  • Clean and inspect fiber connections regularly to maintain high-quality network standards.
  • Terminate and label fiber optic cabling clearly and consistently according to project requirements.
  • Conduct OTDR and power meter testing to validate fiber optic installations.
  • Document all test results and maintain accurate installation and project records.
  • Work safely in active construction and data center environments, following all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Coordinate with project teams to maintain installation schedules, meet deadlines, and uphold quality standards.
  • Support high-volume deployments involving thousands of fiber strand connections, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office to manage logs, reports, schedules, and other project documentation.
  • Drive between project locations, including regular trips to and from Mackenzie, to deliver materials and support site operations.
Essential Skills
  • Proven customer service experience, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Strong administrative and logistics skills, with experience handling travel, accommodations, and material coordination.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear, timely, and professional correspondence.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Valid driver’s license and comfort driving between project locations to deliver materials and support site needs.
  • Comfortable wearing PPE and adhering to safety protocols on active construction sites and in data center environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office for documentation, reporting, and communication.

  • Experience working on construction, industrial, mining, or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with document control systems and project management software.
  • Experience with workforce mobilization, including coordinating camp accommodations and travel schedules.
