Opportunity

Tidewater has an immediate opening for a Crude Marketer Representative. This is a full time position based out of our Calgary office.

As a Crude Marketer Representative at Tidewater Midstream & Infrastructure Ltd., you will play a key role in driving diesel and gasoline sales directly to customers from both our Prince George Refinery and our Prince George Renewable Diesel facility. As a key interface to our customers, your primary responsibility will be to lead in the identification and sourcing of crude oil supply, working closely with facility managers, field sales and other stakeholders.

You will have a strong network within the energy industry and be focused on providing excellent levels of customer service. The role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of a reputable oil and gas company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to increase crude sales, focusing on businesses and industries in Western Canada, particularly in British Columbia.
  • Identify and engage potential clients, build strong relationships, and establish a robust customer base for crude products.
  • Utilize optimization and netback models to understand and drive profitability and producer netbacks.
  • Negotiate physical purchase and sales agreements for crude oil and liquids.
  • Manage internal budgeting and forecasting process for asset optimization activities, coordinating forecasting of recovered oil.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of refined products.
  • Manage product movements and cost of supply to optimize facility performance, taking action to mitigate issues and increase profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of product positioning with overall company goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, pipelines, partners and internal stakeholders (senior leadership, operations, business development, finance, sales).
  • Monitor and analyze the monthly performance earnings in relation to forecasts, budget and market activity.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of crude oil and liquids markets and pricing, pipeline rules and regulations, shipping specifications, and transportation.

    Qualifications/

    Skills:


    A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Economics or Finance.
    A minimum of 5 years proven work experience in crude oil marketing or commercial roles.
    Experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with various internal and external stakeholders.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
    Ability to work independently and remotely, with a willingness to travel as needed.
    Must be self-motivated and a strong team player.
    Comprehensive understanding of Canadian crude oil markets, infrastructure and pricing.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing tools.

    We offer a competitive compensation package including an attractive base salary, short-term and long-term incentive plans.

    Comp Range: $125,000 - $130,000
