Duz Cho Construction Environmental Monitor

Duz Cho Construction is looking for an Environmental Monitor to enhance civil construction safety practices throughout British Columbia. This role emphasizes compliance with environmental standards while respecting local Indigenous cultures.

As an Environmental Monitor, you will work directly with project management and a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) to ensure environmental protocols are maintained on site. This role involves monitoring construction activities, performing inspections, and documenting compliance with environmental management plans. A strong understanding of Indigenous knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with construction crews are crucial to succeed in this field-focused position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor environmental compliance during construction stages

• Conduct routine inspections and sampling of work areas

• Document observations and prepare environmental reports

• Elevate environmental concerns promptly to project leaders

• Collaborate with project teams to integrate environmental practices

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in environmental science

• Experience with environmental monitoring practices

• Knowledge of BC environmental regulations

• Ability to work independently in remote locations

• Valid driver's license required
