School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) is seeking applications for Casual Learning Support Workers to support students in the Fraser Lake area. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours.
Responsibilities- Work with school and district staff to support the individual needs of students
- Assist in the delivery of regular or alternate education programs for individuals or groups
- Advocate for students and participate in school-based teams as needed
- Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
- Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate program
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children/youth with intellectual, behavioral, or multiple disabilities
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required)
- WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures
Applicants without the required certification will be considered Uncertified and compensated at the corresponding rate. Should you not have the required qualifications, you will be paid at the Uncertified Learning Support Worker rate ($26.72).
