Salary: $60,648 - $114,735 + current provincial recruitment and retention allowance

Qualifications- Bachelor of Education (Elementary).
- A valid BC teaching certificate and current membership with the Ministry of Education and Childcare.
- Ability to assist students as needed in a variety of curriculum areas at intermediate grade levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive classroom learning environment that engages students in active learning experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to use inclusive instruction to meet the learning needs of diverse learners.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working from an inclusion perspective to address diverse learning needs.
- Understand and use a trauma-informed approach in professional practice.
- Experience and knowledge using competency-based assessment strategies.
- Experience in differentiating instruction to create success in learning for each student.
- Experience in integrating appropriate technologies into instructional practices to improve learning outcomes for students.
- The BC Education Plan and goals of the education system.
- Supporting every child in learning at high levels.
- Work closely with parents/guardian and caregivers and the broader community.
- The Board of Education Strategic Plan.
- Supporting equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Ongoing professional learning for the purpose of strengthening student learning.
- Making evidence-based, collaborative decisions about student learning in a professional learning community environment.
- Supporting Individual Education Plans (IEP) in a collaborative team environment.
- The TRC Calls to Action.
- Integrating Indigenous culture and Ways of Knowing into curriculum and learning activities.
