Make a difference in Robson Valley as a Casual Education Assistant 2, focusing on supporting students with special needs. Collaborate closely with educators to enhance the learning environment for diverse learners.

The Education Assistant 2 will work under the direction of the principal to assist students with various behavioral and academic challenges. Responsibilities include monitoring students during breaks and assisting with daily health procedures, helping enhance their independence in life skills. Ideal candidates will have experience in behavior management and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance with daily hygiene and self-care activities

• Supervise students during academic and social interactions

• Participate in the creation and organization of school activities

• Record and score student assignments and tests

• Administer assigned medication and ensure safety compliance

Requirements:

• Completion of grade twelve and six relevant courses

• Minimum one year experience with children with exceptional needs

• Skills in managing specific behavioral challenges

• Ability to effectively communicate in educational settings

• Potential need for a valid British Columbia driver's license
