Grade 6​/7 Teacher at Spruceland

Elevate education at Spruce land Community School of the Arts as a Grade 6/7 Teacher on a limited duration contract. We seek educators with trauma-informed practices and assessment experience.

We are hiring a 1.0 FTE Grade 6/7 Teacher for a limited duration. Candidates should bring a valid BC Teaching Certificate and demonstrate experience with assessment and the redesigned curriculum. A commitment to Indigenous culture integration and an inclusive learning environment is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop lesson plans integrating local Indigenous culture

• Utilize diverse teaching strategies for all learning needs

• Foster a positive classroom environment with strong management

• Assess student learning using innovative strategies

• Collaborate effectively in a team setting

Requirements:

• Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate

• Proven experience in social and emotional learning

• Strong knowledge of core competencies and curriculum

• Willingness to travel as needed

• Current BC driver’s license
