HCOS Education Assistants are independent contractors who provide program support, behavior and academic interventions, and encouragement to Home Learners within the Inclusive Education Department. Please see Education Assistant Profile for more information.

We are seeking two
Education Assistants to work on-site one day per week in our Prince George Community Connections class for the 2026/27 school year. This is a part-time contract position that may grow in hours over the course of the school year, depending on student needs and EA skillsets.

• Location: Prince George, BC
• Grades: 2/3 or 6/7
• Schedule: Thursdays, 8:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

• Support the social, spiritual, and academic learning needs of students, providing mentorship to the whole person
• Connect with students individually or in small groups
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support delivery of personalized learning opportunities
• Build relationships with families, teachers and other EAs
• Assist in carrying out IEP goals, working alongside the broader student support team

• Background working in Education, EA Support, Behaviour Intervention, or with children/youth
• Professionals with non-EA specific credentials are encouraged to also apply (e.g., psychology, behaviour analysis, social work, coaching, mathematics, etc.)
• A valid Certified Educational Assistant certificate (or training in process) is considered an asset

• Competitive Wage: $23.97 – $28.13 hourly depending on certification and experience
• Contractor model
