Position: Advisor for Aboriginal Head Start Programs
Join the First Nations Health Authority as an Advisor for Aboriginal Head Start Programs in Northern B.C. Drive community engagement by enhancing early childhood initiatives and delivering culturally safe options.

This role, effective until March 31, 2028, requires a strong background with at least three years in Aboriginal Head Start or licensed childcare settings. Your expertise will be crucial in building community capacity, assessing needs, and strengthening partnerships to deliver effective programs for families and children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strengthen Aboriginal Head Start programming in communities

• Assess and address local early childhood needs

• Oversee budgets and manage program staff

• Facilitate training workshops and knowledge transfer events

• Foster networks to support community-driven approaches

Requirements:

• Three years experience in relevant childcare programs

• Early Childhood Education Certification required

• Experience with First Nations community initiatives

• Project management and workshop delivery skills

• Knowledge of early childhood development specific to Aboriginal populations
