Grades 8-12 French & Spanish Educator

Become part of School District No. 57 as a Grades 8-12 French and Spanish educator. This role emphasizes a limited duration contract with an inclusive approach to education.

At Shas Ti Kelly Road Secondary School, you will provide instruction in both French and Spanish, along with language arts support. We are seeking candidates skilled in trauma-informed practices and culturally responsive teaching. Your focus will be on building strong relationships with students and fostering a positive, engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver French and Spanish instruction effectively

• Integrate experiential and inquiry-based learning into lessons

• Adapt teaching methods to support diverse learners

• Use assessment as a tool for advancing student learning

• Create a positive classroom culture and manage student behavior

Requirements:

• Eligible for BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate

• Experience with Indigenous cultural integration in teaching

• Strong knowledge of current educational standards

• Excellent organizational and classroom management skills

• Current driver’s license for potential travel
