Make a difference in education as a Resource Teacher for Grades K-7 at Van Bien Elementary School. This 0.8 FTE position focuses on individualized learning strategies in an inclusive classroom setting.
School District No. 57 is seeking a dedicated teacher for a continuing contract role.
The ideal candidate should have an active BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate and experience in assessment strategies and trauma-informed practices. A commitment to integrating Indigenous culture and principles of reconciliation is essential, as well as a proven track record in classroom management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop individualized learning plans for students
- Implement inclusive teaching strategies
- Integrate Indigenous culture into curriculum
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Foster positive relationships with students and community
- Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
- Knowledge of redesigned curriculum
- Experience with social and emotional learning
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to travel as required
