Position: Contract Teacher for Community Literacy Programs
Become part of School District No. 57 as a Contract Teacher focused on Community Programs aimed at advancing literacy and numeracy skills. Applicants with experience in trauma-informed practices are encouraged.
This role is a limited-duration contract for a teacher capable of guiding students in Grades 8-12 through innovative teaching strategies. You will address diverse learning needs while implementing integrated curriculum components that align with Indigenous traditions. Effective collaboration with fellow educators will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute literacy and numeracy lesson plans

• Incorporate experiential learning opportunities into classroom practices

• Utilize diverse teaching strategies for all learners

• Cultivate a supportive and organized classroom environment

• Engage collaboratively within a team-oriented setting
Requirements:

• Eligibility for BC Teaching Certificate or equivalent

• Proven track record in trauma-informed educational practices

• Familiarity with core competencies and redesigned curriculum

• Strong organization and classroom management abilities

• Ability to travel as required for school activities
