Youth Care Worker

Position: Youth Care Worker - 18 Hours Weekly
Make a meaningful impact as a part-time Youth Care Worker, supporting students with emotional, social, and behavioral issues within the school environment. This role emphasizes communication, teamwork, and effective intervention strategies.

As a Youth Care Worker, you will work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individual education plans tailored to student needs. Your responsibilities will include conducting home visits and organizing events to facilitate engagement and development. Regular assessments and communications will be essential in tracking student progress and modifications in their education plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the developing of education strategies for students

• Communicate effectively with teachers and families

• Participate in field trips and community engagements

• Evaluate student performance in coordination with educators

• Attend review meetings focusing on student needs

Requirements:

• Completed Grade 12 and a related two-year diploma

• Two years of youth experience with public education exposure

• Hold a valid British Columbia driver's license

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Ability to manage challenging behaviors in high-stress situations
