Support students with autism at W.L. McLeod Elementary as a Personal Attendant. Engage in meaningful collaboration with teachers and school staff to facilitate learning.

The Person al Attendant position at W.L. McLeod Elementary involves assisting in the delivery of targeted educational programs for students with autism. This continuing role requires a commitment to advocacy and collaboration, necessary for creating positive learning scenarios. Ideal candidates will have appropriate certifications and experience in the educational support field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing autism-focused programs

• Act as an advocate for student needs

• Collaborate with teachers and support staff

• Help in monitoring and managing behaviors

• Encourage student engagement and inclusivity

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate) completion

• DELF B1 equivalent certification

• Completion of an Educational Assistant program

• 30 hours of ASD training completion

• Six months working experience supporting behavior disorders
