Become a Specialist Teacher for Inclusive Education at Decker Lake Elementary in Burns Lake, BC, commencing September 1, 2026. This position will focus on creating equitable learning environments for all students.

This continuing position requires a qualified educator skilled in supporting diverse learners. You will develop IEPs and utilize responsive teaching strategies to engage junior and senior grade students. Your work will be part of ongoing community collaboration focused on strengthening educational outcomes through equity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage individualized education plans (IEPs)

• Employ inclusive teaching methods for various learners

• Facilitate active engagement and positive classroom dynamics

• Collaborate with parents and educational professionals

• Incorporate Indigenous perspectives in teaching practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education with a valid BC teaching certificate

• Experience in functional behavior evaluation

• Knowledge of Response to Intervention strategies

• Training in diverse instructional methodologies
