Position: Ecole College Heights Elementary School - 1.0  FTE - K/1 FRIMM - Continuing Contract Teacher
Position Description
An Ecole College Heights Elementary School - 1.0 FTE - K/1 FRIMM - Continuing Contract Teacher is required by School District No. 57 (Prince George). Applicants with assessment and trauma-informed practice experience are preferred.

Qualifications And Experience

Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or proof of application).

Copy of letter from the TRB stating requirements to attain permanent certification status if the certificate is conditional.

Knowledge of Ministry of Education’s redesigned curriculum and core competencies.

Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching.

A proven ability with assessment as and for learning strategies.

Successful experience integrating local Indigenous culture and traditions into curriculum (knowledge of First Nations Principles and the Principles of Truth and Reconciliation).

The ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all learners in an inclusive setting.

Successful experience integrating experiential and/or inquiry learning opportunities into the curriculum.

Training and successful experience in teaching and supporting social and emotional learning.

Strong classroom organisation and management skills; proven ability to create a positive learning environment.

Commitment to and experience working collaboratively in a team setting.

Experience using and integrating technology into the curriculum.

Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the greater community.

Current, valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.

Copy of letter from the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada outlining any work restrictions/requirements/deadlines if such documentation is in place.

Compensation

Relocation allowance: up to $1,000 for relocation from within BC, up to $1,500 for relocation from AB, SK & MB, and up to $2,000 for relocation from all other provinces and out of country.

Salary as per collective agreement, currently $49,769 – $95,681, based on TQS and prior experience.

Benefits as per collective agreement with options to enroll in Dental, Extended Health, and Group Life Insurance. Benefits are employer-paid based on FTE.
