We are seeking a dedicated and passionate on‑site Health Care Assistant Lab/Clinical Instructor to support and guide students through their laboratory and clinical training, preparing them for successful entry into the healthcare workforce. This position is based in Prince George, BC and plays a key role in ensuring students receive a comprehensive, hands‑on educational experience that meets both regulatory standards and industry expectations.

This part‑time role offers variable hours up to 24–32 hours per week and has the potential to lead to future advancements within the college.

Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm.

Rate Range
Rate Range:  $33 to $35 per hour + Northern British Columbia Premium.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate student learning in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings, providing guidance and support throughout.

Prepare and deliver lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments aligned with course objectives.

Supervise students during clinical placements, ensuring safe, ethical, and competent care practices.

Ensure compliance with program accreditation standards, regulatory guidelines, and college policies.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and evaluations.

Qualifications

Two or more years of full‑time nursing experience – required.

2800 hours of nursing experience.

Nursing experience must include working with older adults with complex health needs.

Nursing experience must include experience or orientation in home support and multi‑level care.

Ability to teach adult learners (mentoring/instructing).

Provincial Instructor Diploma and previous experience, or

Aptitude and willingness to learn and obtain an Instructor Diploma (with our help).
