School Youth Care Worker Position

Support student success as a Youth Care Worker by addressing the needs of those with emotional and behavioral difficulties within a school framework.

Your role will include collaborating with teachers and families to foster student growth and engagement.

In this position, you will assist in the development and execution of individualized education plans tailored to each student’s unique challenges. This involves frequent communication with parents, conducting home visits, and participating in collaborative meetings with educational staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating tailored education strategies for students

• Conduct regular home and community visits

• Guide students and their families through challenges

• Organize and facilitate special events and field trips

• Contribute to student evaluation and progress reporting

Requirements:

• High school diploma with a related college certification

• Two years of experience with youth in education

• Experience with exceptional children

• Valid driver’s license in British Columbia

• Strong writing and communication skills
