Position: Indigenous Cultural Advisor at Nahoonai-a
Support Indigenous student transitions as an Indigenous Cultural Advisor at Nahoonai-a. Provide mentorship in a culturally rich environment, fostering academic and personal success.

As the Cultural Advisor, you will report to the Associate Director, International and Student Services, overseeing Nahoonai-a's daily operations. This role involves collaboration with the Vice President of Indigenization and various college leaders to design effective support systems for Indigenous students. Your cultural insights will be vital in navigating the educational landscape at the College of New Caledonia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate daily operations of Nahoonai-a Indigenous Housing

• Provide cultural mentorship and support to students

• Implement programs for life skills in a communal environment

• Collaborate with College staff for student support

• Be available for mentorship during evenings and weekends

Requirements:

• Experience in cultural mentorship or advisory roles

• Understanding of Indigenous community resources

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility in schedule to support student needs

• Passion for promoting a supportive learning atmosphere
