Itinerant Music Teacher

Effective Dates: Commencing September 1, 2026 and continuing

Position: Itinerant Music Teacher

Assignment: Music - Elementary (K-7)

The successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch and possess one or more of the following:

• Training Specifications:
  Elementary Education with major/minor in music
• Related Teaching
  
  Experience:
  
  Recent successful experience as an Elementary Music Teacher

Based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development and overall classroom teaching experience, the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.

• Training/skill in the Kodaly method and/or the Orff approach to music instruction
• Strong singing skills

Other: Own transportation for travel between schools is necessary - mileage reimbursed as per the Collective Agreement.

The annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $64,901 to $116,190 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
