Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Education and a valid BC teaching certification to facilitate learning for intermediate students. Your expertise in creating a positive and engaging classroom experience will be critical. Emphasizing trauma-informed strategies and competency-based assessments, you will meet the varied needs of all students and work closely with families and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate a positive learning atmosphere for students

• Design inclusive curriculum to address diverse needs

• Implement assessment strategies focused on student competencies

• Collaborate with parents and community stakeholders

• Assist in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Requirements:

• Valid BC teaching certificate with Ministry membership

• Familiarity with the BC Education Plan and goals

• Proficiency in using technology for improved learning

• Awareness of Indigenous ways of knowing in curricula
