Beaverly Elementary Grade 7 Teacher

Beaverly Elementary School in Prince George is hiring a Grade 7 Limited Duration Contract Teacher. Preferred candidates should have trauma-informed practice experience and be prepared to engage with the community.

As part of School District No. 57, you’ll join a dedicated team focusing on inclusive education and innovative teaching strategies. The successful applicant will integrate the BC Ministry of Education’s core competencies into the Grade 7 curriculum while ensuring that local Indigenous cultures are reflected in lesson plans.

Your role will also involve creating a supportive learning environment and facilitating social-emotional skills among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Grade 7 lesson plans

• Use assessment strategies to enhance learning

• Integrate Indigenous perspectives in curriculum

• Build positive relationships with students and parents

• Encourage collaboration among staff for improved education

Requirements:

• BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate eligibility

• Proven teaching experience with grade 7 learners

• Knowledge of technology for classroom use

• Experience with classroom management

• Valid driver's license with travel capability
