Become an Inclusive Education Specialist at Decker Lake Elementary School in Burns Lake, BC. Support students' diverse educational needs and implement effective IEP strategies beginning September 1, 2026.

In this 1.0 Continuing Specialist role, successful candidates will hold a Bachelor of Education and exhibit expertise in inclusive classroom methodologies. Experience in functional behaviour assessment is essential, alongside the ability to engage positively with students and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop tailored Individual Education Plans for students

• Use inclusive instructional methods to enhance learning

• Collaborate with families to support student progress

• Integrate Indigenous culture into educational practices

• Apply trauma-informed approaches for behavioral support

Requirements:

• Valid BC teaching certificate and Bachelor of Education

• Strong background in IEP and IBI management

• Knowledge of supportive teaching strategies

• Training in competency-based assessment methods
