Overview
Position Description A Shas Ti Kelly Road Secondary School – 1.0 FTE Jr. Indigenous Grad Coach (4 blocks) / CLE 10 (3 blocks) - Limited Duration Contract. School District No. 57 (Prince George).

The successful applicant must have or be eligible for membership in the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch, and possess:
- Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or proof of application).
- Copy of letter from the TRB stating requirements to attain permanent certification status if certificate is conditional.
- Knowledge of Ministry of Education’s redesigned curriculum and core competencies.
- Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching.
- A proven ability with assessment as and for learning strategies.
- Successful experience integrating local Indigenous culture and traditions into curriculum (knowledge of First Nations Principles and the Principles of Truth and Reconciliation).
- Ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that accommodate the learning needs of all learners in an inclusive setting.
- Successful experience integrating experiential and/or inquiry learning opportunities into the curriculum.
- Training and successful experience in teaching and supporting social and emotional learning.
- Proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom with strong organization and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
- Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology into the curriculum.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the greater community.
- Current, valid driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel as required.

- Up to $1,000 relocation allowance for teachers’ relocation from within BC;
Up to $1,500 for teachers relocating from AB, SK & MB; and up to $2,000 for teachers relocating from all other provinces and out of country. - Salary as per collective agreement. Current salary grid is $49,769 - $95,681. Salary is based on TQS and prior experience.
- Benefits as per collective agreement with option to enroll in Dental, Extended Health, and Group Life Insurance. Benefits are employer paid based on FTE.
