Position: Contract Teacher K-7 ELL/Library Position
Exciting opportunity at Ron Brent Elementary School for a Limited Duration Contract Teacher specializing in Grade K-7 ELL and Library. Ideal candidates will have assessment and trauma-informed practice experience.
School District No. 57 (Prince George) seeks a dynamic educator for a 1.0 FTE role focused on English Language Learner support and library curriculum. Emphasis is placed on integrating Indigenous culture and using inclusive teaching strategies for all learners. Applicants should demonstrate strong assessment skills and the ability to foster a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Grade K-7 ELL and library classes

• Integrate Indigenous culture into lesson plans

• Use various teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learners

• Develop assessment as and for learning strategies

• Collaborate with staff to enhance educational experience
Requirements:

• Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate

• Knowledge of redesigned curriculum and core competencies

• Experience with social and emotional learning practices

• Strong organization and classroom management skills

• Willingness to travel for school-related activities
