Position: Kanawha County Basic Skills Teacher
Cultivate educational excellence as a Basic Skills Interventionist with Kanawha County Schools. Focus on helping elementary students achieve their learning goals through tailored programs.

As a Basic Skills Interventionist, you will guide students to meet educational standards and implement curriculum based on Kanawha County’s criteria. With a minimum annual commitment of 200 days, you will develop personalized learning plans and organize collaborative activities to foster a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement school district’s standards-based curriculum

• Develop personalized learning experiences for students

• Engage with parents and peers to enhance communication

• Organize co-curricular activities and field trips

• Ensure classroom discipline and student engagement

Requirements:

• Current teaching certificate for relevant specializations

• Satisfactory criminal background check

• Understanding of WV Code and education standards

• Excellent communication abilities with students and stakeholders

• Capability to handle classroom demands effectively
