Student Advocate Learning Support Worker

Location: Burns Lake

Become a Learning Support Worker at William Konkin Elementary. This role fosters student potential while assisting teachers and professionals in enhancing educational experiences.

This continuing position offers 5.5 hours per day, five days a week. You will collaborate with school staff to provide essential support tailored to individual or group needs. As an advocate for students, you will contribute to a dynamic school-based team focused on developing student abilities and addressing diverse learning requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing educational programs

• Collaborate with staff to support individual student needs

• Act as a student advocate within the school team

• Engage with children or youth with disabilities

• Contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)

• Education Assistant Certificate completion

• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license with good record

• 6 months experience with children with disabilities

• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with safety procedures
