Elementary Learning Support Worker

Location: Burns Lake

Become an essential Learning Support Worker at William Konkin Elementary, helping students reach their potential. This role includes collaborating with educators in delivering tailored educational support.

This continuing opportunity involves 5.5 hours of work each day, five days a week. You will assist teachers while advocating for individual student's needs, contributing to their educational development. Being part of the school-based team means you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of educational programs to students

• Advocate for students’ individual needs within the team

• Engage with students with learning challenges

• Assist in creating a nurturing classroom atmosphere

• Promote adherence to safety procedures in school

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion (Dogwood Certificate)

• Completed Education Assistant Certificate program

• Class 5 Full Privileged BC driver’s license

• At least 6 months experience with children with disabilities

• Hold a WHMIS 2015 Certificate and understand safety protocols

Contribute positively to student success and educational development as a Learning Support Worker.
