Position: Counsellor for Elementary K-7 Students
Location: Quesnel

Join Quesnel School District as a Counsellor for K-7 students, focused on nurturing student potential. This full-time role requires a collaborative spirit and a passion for student advocacy.

Effective September 1, 2026, we are looking for a well-qualified Counsellor with a valid BC Teaching Certificate. You will need a Master’s Degree in Counselling and recent experience as an Elementary School Counsellor. This position will involve developing targeted programs and collaborating with staff to meet the diverse counselling needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop programs in partnership with Youth Care Workers

• Connect students with community resources

• Tailor support for students with diverse needs

• Contribute to the School growth Plan

• Collaborate with professional educational staff

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate

• Master’s Degree in Counselling required

• Prior experience as an Elementary School Counsellor

• Strong dedication to student needs and advocacy

• Ability to work effectively in a team
