Relief Education Assistant Position

Position: Relief Education Assistant 2 Position
Enhance student learning as a Relief Education Assistant 2, working 27.5 hours weekly. Support individual and group activities while monitoring behavior and assisting in skill development.

In this role within the Schools department, you will assist students in academic and behavioral domains according to specific education plans. You will monitor and support students during lunch, recess, and between classes, ensuring a nurturing environment conducive to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with daily hygiene and health procedures

• Contribute to communication and performance skill activities

• Help students gain independence in life skills

• Attend to student behavior inside and outside the school

• Organize and participate in school activities and field trips

Requirements:

• Grade twelve education completed

• Six relevant college or university courses

• One year experience with exceptional needs children

• Ability to communicate effectively in English

• Valid BC driver’s license may be required
