Position: Ecole Lac de Bois Contract Educator
Ecole Lac de Bois in Prince George, BC is looking for a Limited Duration Contract Teacher for Grade
6. This role is dedicated to inclusive practices and fostering trauma-informed educational methods.

School District No. 57 requires a full-time educator with a valid BC Teaching Certificate and experience in assessment strategies. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of the redesigned curriculum alongside a commitment to integrating local Indigenous culture. Strong classroom management and organizational skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver culturally-sensitive education to Grade 6 students

• Utilize varied teaching strategies for all learners

• Develop a positive learning environment focused on growth

• Collaborate with staff to enhance curriculum delivery

• Implement social and emotional learning practices

Requirements:

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate or conditional eligibility

• Experience with assessment for learning techniques

• Knowledge and integration of Indigenous culture in teaching

• Commitment to team collaboration

• Driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
