At Stenberg College, we are committed to educating compassionate professionals who make a meaningful difference in their communities. We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our  Health Care Assistant (HCA) program  team as a  Lead   Lab Instructor .

Reporting to the Manager of Lab and Simulation, the Lead Lab Instructor plays a key role in delivering  high-quality ,  student-centered  lab and simulation learning experiences. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional who is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and supporting student success in a hands‑on learning environment.

Prince George, BC
Compensation:  $36.05/hour (entry‑level rate)

Start Date:

December 7, 2026 - January 15, 2027

Schedule:

Monday to Friday    Regular

Hours:

Most days are 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Lab Days:
Start times vary, occasionally beginning at 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.
Two Testing Days:
Typically run from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Schedule details will be discussed during the interview and adjustments made where possible.

What You Will Do:

Instruction & Student Support

Deliver engaging lab and simulation sessions aligned with course outcomes and industry standards
Demonstrate clinical procedures using approved checklists and current best practices
Support student learning through feedback, coaching, and skill development
Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
Collaborate with internal teams to review course materials, lab schedules, and learning outcomes
Coordinate with Lab Assistants to prepare for lab sessions and ensure proper setup
Maintain lab organization and adhere to safety and operational guidelines

Testing & Evaluation

Plan and coordinate lab testing schedules and logistics
Lead and oversee lab testing sessions, including briefing and debriefing testers and students
Evaluate student performance using standardized assessment tools
Address student feedback and appeals in accordance with academic policies

Administrative Duties

Maintain accurate attendance, student records, and evaluation documentation
Communicate student progress and outcomes with internal stakeholders
Participate in faculty meetings, evaluations, and campus events
Support continuous improvement initiatives and program development

Who You Are:

You are a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) and have current full registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
Minimum  2 years of recent, relevant clinical experience , preferably in:  Geriatric care and/or complex care
Home support or multi‑level care settings

Demonstrated knowledge of current clinical practices and standards
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and motivate adult learners
Experience in teaching or curriculum delivery is an asset
