Join Ron Brent Elementary in Prince George as a Grade 4/5 teacher focusing on inclusive education practices. This limited duration role engages with students using innovative assessment and culturally responsive methodologies.
The successful candidate will be part-time (0.4 FTE) and should have experience with trauma-informed practices and the redesigned BC curriculum. Strong organizational and classroom management skills are essential, alongside a commitment to integrating Indigenous culture into learning experiences. This role emphasizes collaborative work in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement engaging lesson plans reflecting Indigenous culture
• Execute effective assessment strategies for learner engagement
• Cultivate a positive classroom atmosphere for all students
• Employ technology to enhance student learning
• Work alongside colleagues to support student needs
Requirements:
• Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate or application in process
• Proven teaching experience in diverse classroom settings
• Understanding of social-emotional learning frameworks
• Collaborative mindset for team-based teaching
• Current valid driver’s license
