On Call Early Childhood Educator Mackenzie

Join our team as a Casual Early Childhood Educator in Mackenzie! This on-call role involves planning and facilitating play-based early learning programs to support child and family development.

As a part of the Schools in Mackenzie, you will be responsible for overseeing the Strong Start BC Early Learning programs and collaborating with teachers. Key skills include organizing activities that reflect child development stages, maintaining program records, and encouraging family engagement in education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain early learning programs based on the framework

• Record daily program activities accurately and comprehensively

• Produce necessary reports and work plans with the District

• Collaborate with educators to ensure smooth transitions to kindergarten

• Encourage parental participation in children’s education

Requirements:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and BC certification

• Food safe certification and 1 year experience with young children

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license

• Ability to maintain confidentiality
