Location: Vanderhoof
Join W.L. McLeod Elementary as a Personal Attendant supporting students with autism. Assist teachers and advocate for learners in this critical role at a welcoming school.
This ongoing position is part-time, with a commitment of 5 hours a day for 5 days a week. You'll be integral to a collaborative school team, helping to deliver effective programs tailored for students with autism. Your experience in behavioral support will significantly impact these learners' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in delivering educational programs for students with autism
• Advocate for students within the school environment
• Collaborate with teachers and professionals on strategies
• Document student progress and challenges
• Participate in ongoing training and development
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate)
• DELF B1 Certificate or equivalent level
• Education Assistant Certificate Program completion
• POPARD - Introduction to ASD (30 hours)
• 6 months experience with behavioral disorders
