We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with a strong background in construction engineering in the infrastructure sector to join our team at the Prince George office. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, execute, and manage the design of a variety of structural projects and work collaboratively with engineers, designers, project managers, and clients.

• Lead preliminary to detailed design of infrastructure structures, including concrete foundations, concrete and steel bridges, excavation support, and miscellaneous components such as steel frames and temporary structures.
• Carry out estimates of project costs, complex analysis and calculations, design review, and preparation of reports, proposals, and contract documentation.
• Collaborate with the project team (engineers, designers, project coordinators) to develop drawings and specifications.
• Perform new structural designs, evaluate existing structures, and supervise team members who conduct inspections.
• Interact with clients to support ongoing engineering projects and to develop new clients and projects for Allnorth’s team.
• Interface directly with project managers, team members, contractors, and others to define project requirements and expectations.
• Ensure completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets while maintaining high‑quality standards. Proactively resolve performance, scope, and schedule issues with PMs as they arise.
• Offer support, mentoring, and guidance to other structural team members.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, specialized in structural engineering.
• Registered as a P.Eng. in British Columbia and eligible for registration in other provinces (Ontario preferred).
• 15+ years of relevant experience in construction engineering and infrastructure design, preferably within a consulting environment.
• Experience with finite element analysis, dynamic analysis, and reasonable knowledge in seismic design.
• Experience working with national and provincial design codes and standards.
• Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members and clients in a multi‑disciplined environment.
• Technical competence and strong attention to detail.
• Proven leadership and mentoring ability.
• Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and priorities.
