Enhance operational performance with Intercontinental Pulp as a Senior Process Control Specialist in Prince George, BC. This position emphasizes problem-solving and project leadership in process automation.
In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing process control strategies while managing projects from concept to completion. Work closely with operations and engineering teams to troubleshoot and support DCS and PLC systems. You will also present detailed reports and justifications for capital investments to management, showcasing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and optimize process control methodologies
• Lead projects ensuring timely execution and delivery
• Troubleshoot DCS and PLC-based control issues
• Ensure adherence to documentation and change management
• Present improvement reports to upper management
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar
• At least 5 years of experience in automation engineering
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Proficient with DCS and PLC systems
• Registered or eligible with Engineers and Geoscientists BC
