Primary Operator District Energy

Position: Primary Operator for District Energy
Drive efficient energy operations as the Primary Operator for the District Energy Peaking Plant in Prince George. Ensure compliance, monitor systems, and maintain reliable performance every day.

This role serves as the Chief Engineer and is critical for overseeing safe energy operations. You will operate power generation systems and manage preventive maintenance activities. Additionally, you will support wastewater operations as needed, leaning on your technical expertise during challenging scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and supervise power generation plant activities

• Monitor systems for preventive and corrective maintenance

• Ensure compliance with Technical Safety BC regulations

• Support operations for wastewater lift stations and treatment

• Troubleshoot technical issues and manage system reliability

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education with a valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate

• Minimum 3 years related power engineering experience

• Valid EOCP certifications in Wastewater is a plus

• Knowledge of HVAC, SCADA, and HMI systems

• Clean Police Information Check required
