Field Technician at WSP – Remediation Focus

Join WSP as an Environmental Field Technician in British Columbia and support critical remediation projects. Engage in hands-on work such as groundwater monitoring and site safety management.

As part of WSP's Remediation Program Management team, your role includes conducting essential fieldwork and collaborating with engineers and scientists. You’ll be responsible for preparing safety plans, overseeing subcontractors, and documenting field activities to uphold community and environmental safety throughout remediation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and follow site-specific health and safety plans

• Execute groundwater monitoring and sampling activities

• Keep detailed records and assist in reporting tasks

• Identify potential hazards and report incidents

• Oversee subcontractors conducting remedial work

Requirements:

• Diploma in environmental or geological technology

• Experience with soil and groundwater sampling

• Strong health and safety awareness

• Excellent English communication skills

• Valid driver's license required
