BW Gold Environmental Coordinator

Position: BW Gold Environmental Coordinator Role
Location: Vanderhoof

Play a critical role in environmental safety at BW Gold's Blackwater Mine in British Columbia. This coordinator position focuses on leadership, compliance monitoring, and active field support.

As the Environmental Coordinator, you will report directly to the Technical Lead - Environment and lead on-site environmental activities. You will coordinate contractors, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain monitoring programs per environmental permits. Your leadership will ensure that safety and environmental protection remain a priority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and enforce safety procedures and standards

• Coordinate on-site activities of consultants and contractors

• Prepare scopes of work and oversee proposals

• Maintain inspection databases and track actions

• Support the environmental monitoring and sample collection programs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or similar

• Minimum 3-5 years in mining environmental roles

• Familiarity with environmental legislation

• Strong organizational and technical writing skills

• Experience working in adverse field conditions
