Position: Junior Materials Technician - Field and Lab Work
Become a crucial part of WSP as a Junior Materials Technician located in Prince George, BC. This role combines hands-on field testing with laboratory responsibilities to support vital infrastructure.

As a member of WSP’s Ground Engineering and Materials Team, you will engage in testing projects that influence the local community. This position will enable you to build your expertise in both fieldwork and laboratory standards while working closely with a dedicated team.

Your role is key to delivering technical services that support our infrastructure initiatives in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on-site

• Conduct field tests on materials including soil and concrete

• Perform testing in a CCIL certified laboratory

• Collaborate with a team for geotechnical engineering tasks

• Assist in mobilizing for various regional projects

Requirements:

• Completion of a Civil Engineering Technology program

• Background in materials testing or similar internships

• Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Strong communication abilities in English

• Valid Canadian Driver’s License
