This pivotal role reports to the Technical Lead – Environment and involves overseeing crucial environmental activities at the Blackwater Mine. You will manage contractors, assist in proposal preparation, and maintain inspection databases. Your experience in environmental compliance within the mining sector will be essential for ensuring adherence to regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead safety initiatives and enforce compliance standards

• Coordinate activities of consultants and contractors on-site

• Prepare scopes of work and manage proposals

• Maintain environmental inspection databases and track action items

• Lead sample collection and monitoring programs
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field

• 3-5 years of mining-related environmental experience

• Knowledge of BC environmental legislation

• Strong technical writing and organizational skills

• Ability to work in remote, challenging conditions
