Coordinator of Environmental Compliance

Location: vanderhoof

Become an Environmental Compliance Coordinator at BW Gold, located at the Blackwater Mine in British Columbia. Engage deeply in safety leadership while ensuring environmental monitoring and compliance on a two weeks on/two weeks off basis.
Reporting to the Technical Lead – Environment, you will be pivotal in overseeing safety procedures and coordinating environmental activities on-site.

Your role includes managing environmental compliance, assisting with the preparation of scopes of work, and maintaining databases for inspection action items. Utilize your knowledge from the mining sector to ensure operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Address safety leadership and enforce compliance protocols

• Coordinate field consultants and contractor work effectively

• Aid in developing scopes of work and proposals

• Track environmental inspections and action items in databases

• Lead monitoring activities for surface and groundwater
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or similar

• 3-5 years of experience in mining environmental compliance

• Knowledge of relevant BC legislation

• Strong technical writing and organizational capabilities

• Ability to work in a camp setting on a rotational schedule
