Position: Professional Engineer - Area Engineer Role
Join the BC Public Service as a Professional Area Engineer in Prince George, BC. This full-time on-site position specializes in engineering services, focusing on the Natural Resource Sector's infrastructure.

As an Area Engineer, you will provide design, oversight, and technical guidance on infrastructure projects such as roads and bridges.

Your role emphasizes independent decision-making and contributes to a collaborative work environment where diverse perspectives are valued. You will work closely with various operational groups to ensure safe and sustainable outcomes for the provincial resource road network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide design and engineering services for projects

• Ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards

• Monitor project implementation and contract compliance

• Collaborate with Ministry teams for project delivery

• Apply expertise in road and bridge infrastructure

Requirements:

• Registered or eligible for registration as P.Eng.

• Degree in Civil/Forest Engineering

• A minimum of five years of relevant engineering experience

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence

• Open to working in challenging outdoor conditions
