Integris Financial Planning Services Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Coastal Community Credit Union is looking for an individual to work as an Investment Specialist on a permanent, full-time basis
. This role will be based out of our branch location in Prince George, and requires travel as needed.
Reporting to the Private Wealth Manager, the Investment Specialist provides professional investment advice and financial planning services to members, supporting their long-term financial wellbeing while contributing to the growth and success of the financial planning business. This role is responsible for building and managing a diverse portfolio of investment clients, delivering personalized advice, meeting annual sales targets, and developing long-term relationships through service excellence and trusted financial guidance.
Successful candidate must demonstrate full competence in core investment functions and the ability to support the growth of the financial planning business through relationship management, sales activity, and service excellence.
Salary Range: This role is classified as an M3 position and is between $58,266.00 to $70,492.50

Financial Planning
Provides comprehensive investment advice and develops personalized financial plans based on client goals, risk tolerance, and financial objectives.Assists members with a range of investment products including mutual funds, stocks, and bonds.Reviews and monitors client financial plans on an ongoing basis to ensure alignment with stated goals.Provides annual financial planning updates to support long-term financial security.Organizes, maintains, and updates client files and documentation.Sales & Service
Proactively contacts clients to identify opportunities for additional products and services.Follows up on branch referrals and member inquiries to grow financial planning business.Places trades and follows up on transactions to ensure proper settlement and delivery.Provides quality referrals to branch teams for products and services outside scope (e.g., lending, mortgages, commercial).Supports the rollout of new products, services, and marketing campaigns.Business Development
Implements business development initiatives, including prospecting and outreach activities.Partners with branch staff to identify and develop new client relationships.Builds and maintains a visible presence in the community to promote investment and financial planning services.Maintains awareness of industry trends and identifies opportunities for improvement.Administration & Operations
Accurately processes investment transactions and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Maintains client data within Credit Union systems and databases.Identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within financial planning operations.Education & Experience:
Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) examination.Currently holds CIRO licensed as a Registered Representative in the Province of BC and is in good standing.Completion of all Continuing Education (CE) credits as required.Have completed CFP designation and be a member in good standing within 18 months of start date.Minimum three (3) years of experience, preferably with exposure to investments or the securities industry.Completion of post-secondary Diploma or Degree in a business-related discipline is strongly preferred (e.g., Business Administration, Commerce).Holds or is actively working toward a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) &/or Personal Financial Planning Designation in good standing within 18 months of start dateStrong knowledge of investment products, financial planning concepts, and client relationship management.Please refer to the job posting on UKG for more details.
