Supervisor, Permit

Overview

Permitting Supervisor role based in Prince George, BC (CAC - Canfor). Primary focus is on cutting permit acquisition, project management, planning activities and field operations. This is a full-time position with the Central Woodlands Team. You will take initiative, listen actively, ask insightful questions, lead groups and engage stakeholders, while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and meticulous attention to detail.

• Collaborate with Indigenous partners and the Canfor Forest Planning Team.
• Ensure activities comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements, forestry legislation, Canfor’s Environmental Policy, forestry principles, and the Forestry Management System.
• Manage and complete activities related to Cutting Permit and Road Permit acquisitions, including appraisals, site plans, and engineered cost estimates.
• Prepare budgets and manage costs within defined responsibilities.
• Implement and improve stumpage management best practices.
• Deliver high-quality field layout and data while meeting business plan requirements.

• Registered or eligible for registration as an RPF or RFT with the Association of BC Forest Professionals.
• Associated university degree or technical diploma with related forestry experience.
• Knowledge of applicable BC forestry and related legislation and policies.

The salary range for this position is $79,450.00 – $. The range reflects base salary;
