Forestry Permitting Supervisor

Lead permitting efforts with Canfor as a Forestry Permitting Supervisor in Prince George, BC. This full-time role focuses on cutting permit acquisition and project management while collaborating with stakeholders.

As the Permitting Supervisor, you will oversee crucial projects related to cutting permit acquisition and field operations. Your strong leadership, attention to detail, and initiative will play a significant role in ensuring compliance with forestry regulations and standards. You will work closely with the Central Woodlands Team and Indigenous partners in this dynamic position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage cutting and road permit acquisition processes

• Collaborate with Indigenous partners and the Forest Planning Team

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements

• Prepare budgets and manage costs effectively

• Improve stumpage management practices for projects

Requirements:

• Registered or eligible for RPF or RFT in BC

• Relevant university degree or technical diploma in forestry

• Knowledge of BC forestry legislation and policies
