Position: Carrier Sekani Family Services Occupational Therapist
Location: Burns Lake

Empower children at Carrier Sekani Family Services in Vanderhoof, BC, as a Full-Time Occupational Therapist. Assess needs and recommend tailored interventions to foster independence.

In this role, you will assess children’s functional skills using clinical observations and formal evaluations, all while supporting families with actionable recommendations. Your work is critical in prioritizing and managing caseloads effectively while engaging in professional growth opportunities. Collaborate with diverse communities to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments in diverse environments like home and daycare

• Develop effective strategies for caseload and program management

• Participate in professional development through courses and workshops

• Provide actionable recommendations for families and caregivers

• Refer to additional services or specialists as necessary

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Rehabilitation Medicine

• Registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals

• Experience in primary care with marginalized populations beneficial
